Zamir Páez
Zamir Eid Páez Mojica (born 2 August 1988) is a Colombian plastic surgeon known for his academic work and clinical practice in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. He has contributed to the scientific literature in the field of plastic surgery through publications in peer-reviewed journals and participation in professional societies such as the Colombian Society of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery (SCCP) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).[1][2]
Early life and education
Páez was born in Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, Colombia, on 2 August 1988. He completed his secondary education at Colegio Calasanz de Cúcuta and spent an academic exchange year at the Friedrich Anton von Heinitz Gymnasium in Rüdersdorf, Germany. In 2007, he began medical studies at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, earning his degree in Medicine and Surgery in 2012 and a specialization in Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery in 2018.[3]
Career
During his surgical residency, Páez gained experience in reconstructive, pediatric, and oncologic plastic surgery through rotations at several Colombian medical institutions, including Hospital Universitario San Ignacio, Instituto Nacional de Cancerología, Hospital Militar Central de Bogotá, and Hospital Universitario La Samaritana.
Following his training, he began practicing aesthetic and reconstructive surgery in Colombia. He has also been associated with international medical centers in the Middle East, contributing to clinical exchanges and academic collaboration. Páez participates regularly in regional and international scientific meetings organized by plastic surgery associations in Latin America and the Middle East.[4]
