Zel2Bgs is an independent American rapper, songwriter, and recording artist based in Michigan. Known for incorporating Inkster and Detroit-style cadences, fast tempos, and dense rhyme schemes, Zel2bgs has released independent projects within the Midwest hip-hop scene.
Early life and career
Originating from the Detroit metropolitan area, Zel2Bgs developed a musical style influenced by the regional street rap scene, characterized by a variety of flows, aggressive percussion, and hyper-local narratives.
In Late 2023, Zel2Bgs began his career of rapping. Just starting, Zel has made 20-30 songs in the span of 2 weeks. And in 2024, Zel began releasing a series of singles and project concepts, including tracks such as "$up3rMan", "Kouple Dayz", and "Kant Støp". His visual style frequently utilizes dark, high-contrast black-and-gray aesthetics paired with urban Midwest imagery.
