Zen 7[1] is the name for an upcoming CPU microarchitecture by AMD, shown on their roadmap in November 2025.[2] It is the successor to Zen 6 ("Morpheus") and is expected to use a yet unconfirmed TSMC process. As per reporting by Igor’sLAB, Desktop processors are believed to be codenamed "Grimlock", though no consumer-line product names have yet been confirmed by AMD.
According to an AMD roadmap shown in June 2025, the Zen 7–based[3] EPYC processor line codenamed “Verano” is planned for 2027.[4] No release timeframe for desktop hardware has been made public yet.
AMD's November 2025 roadmap[2] does not show a would-be-"Zen 7c" dense core variant.
