Zeppotron is a television production company owned by Banijay UK Productions.[1]

It was formed in 2000 by Charlie Brooker and other members of the writing and production team behind Channel 4’s The 11 O’Clock Show.[2][3][4]

Zeppotron's first TV commission was a sketch show based on Brooker's website TVGoHome.[5] Their other TV shows include Would I Lie to You?[6], 8 Out of 10 Cats[7], The Mash Report, Charlie Brooker’s Screenwipe, Nathan Barley[8] and the first series of Black Mirror.[3]

Endemol UK (now Banijay UK Productions) acquired 25 percent ownership of Zeppotron in 2000[4][9] and took full control of Zeppotron in 2002.[10]
