Zhong-Jing Fang (born September 1983[1]) is a ballet dancer and choreographer. She is a soloist with American Ballet Theatre. [2]

Fang was a grand prize winner of the Prix de Lausanne 2000 and a member of the jury of the Prix de Lausanne 2020.[3]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Born in September 1983[1] in Shanghai, China, Fang had her formal ballet training at Shanghai Ballet School and the Performing Arts College of Shanghai Drama University. [2]

In 2000 and 2001, she won four international ballet competitions awards, as listed below. [2] [3]

Ballet Career[edit]

Fang joined ABT Studio Company in 2002. She became an apprentice with American Ballet Theatre in April 2003 and a member of the corps de ballet in January 2004. [2]

Fang tore the posterior tibial tendon during a rehearsal in May 2009. It took her two years to get back to the stage in 2011. [1]

Fang was promoted to soloist with American Ballet Theatre on September 1, 2018.[2][4]

In 2020, Fang was a member of the jury of the Prix de Lausanne. [3]
