Zhou Peng (microbiologist)

Zhou Peng (Chinese: 周鹏; born 1983) is a Chinese microbiologist specializing in virology, known for discovering the 2019-nCoV, the novel coronavirus that caused the 2019–20 Wuhan coronavirus outbreak.[1][2][3][4]
During the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak, he was accused by the website Zero Hedge of withholding information, but has since been vindicated by BuzzFeed.[5]
