Zofeen Ebrahim
Zofeen T. Ebrahim is a Karachi based Pakistani journalist and researcher. She is an expert in environment, gender, health, and development.[1] Since 2001, she has worked as a freelancer. She contributes to local and international media outlets such as Dawn, Express Tribune, Index on Censorship, Inter Press Service; Zofeen also reports for Reuters and guardian. She is the Pakistan editor for the third pole.[2]
Prior to her freelance journalism career, Zofeen worked for Dawn as a feature writer. She also consults for various NGOs and INGOs. She completed her master's degree in journalism from the University of Punjab in 1985.[1]
She has received numerous national and international awards. The Ministry of Environment awarded her the Green Press Award in 2004, and she received second prize in the Developing Asia Journalism Awards. The Asian Development Bank Institute awarded her for Inclusive Social Development.[1]
Career
Zofeen began her career as an editorial assistant at Women's Own.[3]
