Zoute (French Le Zoute, Flemish Het Zoute) is the northernmost district of the Belgian seaside resort of Knokke-Heist, which adjoins the extensive nature reserve Zwin up to the Dutch border.
On the Kustlaan, which runs parallel to the Zeedijk beach promenade, a shopping mile has emerged here, in which numerous exclusive brands are represented with their own shops.
The Chansonier Jacques Brel sang about the place in two of his songs (La chanson de Jacky and Knokke-Le-Zoute Tango).
