Zumwalt is an industrial area in Garfield County, Washington, United States, near Pomeroy, Garfield County's county seat.[1]
In 1919, E. E. Knettle operated a grain warehouse at Zumwalt, numbered 609 by the state government.[2]
In 2003, Pomeroy Grain Growers, Inc. operated a grain warehouse at Zumwalt, numbered 400K by the state government, with a capacity of 180,000 US bushels (6,300,000 l; 1,400,000 US dry gal; 1,400,000 imp gal). [3]
While Garfield County is primarily agricultural, the county's zoning map identifies the area named "Industrial Zone - Zumwalt Section 4, T 11 N, R 41 E, W.M." (south and east of U.S. Highway 12 and Tatman Mountain Road) as zoned for industrial uses.[4]
