Zyra Luna (Malay: Zira; born July 2, 1992), better known by her stage name Zyra Luna, is a Malaysian cosplayer, model, actress, host, and content creator. She is a member of the Artiste Association of Malaysia, formed by AAOM (Seniman Malaysia) in 2023.[1]

Early life

Zyra Luna was born in Tampoi, Johor Bahru, Malaysia and is an only child. She comes from a mixed family of Chinese, Indian, Malay and Indonesian heritage. She started her first cosplay when she was 10 and began taking it seriously when she was 14. She continued her passion for cosplays and eventually participated in her school arts performances, which led her to become involved in Theater and Acting throughout her high school years. She continued to pursue her dreams and career and eventually received an invitation to be part of the artiste association in 2016. However, she refused it due to a lack of self-confidence and demotivation. The organizer did not give up on her and kept pursuing her.

Career

In 2023, Zyra Luna finally accepted the organizer’s invitation to be part of 'SENIMAN MALAYSIA', known as the Artiste Association of Malaysia. She then continued her career and new profession as a New Artiste and participated in various Cosplay Events, Modelling, Beauty pageants and acting. She attended various big cosplay events such as AniManGaki, ACG (subculture), and https://www.instagram.com/jcosclub/?hl=en.

The cosplay events gained many supporters as well as media attention that has been highlighted on local news such as BH (newspaper), Astro Awani and Free Malaysia Today.

Previously, Zyra Luna worked as a Bank Executive and Client manager for 8 years in Singapore. She then kept her job while exploring other opportunities before committing to moving back to Malaysia and eventually relocating to Kuala Lumpur. Since then, Zyra Luna has been actively working and continuing her career.

Personal life

In 2009, Zyra Luna was selected to enter the Sukma Games national multi-sport event; however, she had to reject the offer because her father objected to her participation and wanted her to focus on her studies. Since then, she continued her studies and pursued her dreams after graduation. Zyra Luna, however, has no intention of returning to sports, instead pursuing her path towards artistic expression in cosplays, acting and modelling.
