Daniel McKeague
Daniel McKeague (born June 5, 1974) is an American actor, voice actor, comedian, and television advertising sales manager. He is best known as the current voice of the Aflac mascot, a duck. On April 26, 2011, it was announced that McKeague would replace Gilbert Gottfried as the duck's voice. Gottfried had been fired because of making a joke on the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.[1][2]
Early life
McKeague was born and raised in Hugo, Minnesota in 1974.[1]
Career
Originally a salesman, McKeague was hired by Aflac as the new voice of the Aflac Duck on April 26, 2011 after original actor Gilbert Gottfried (whom McKeague was able to impersonate) was fired.[1][2]
On May 1, 2011, the first Aflac commercial with McKeague voicing the duck was released.[citation needed]
Personal life
McKeague has a wife and three children.[citation needed]
