History

"Quotin" originally focused on sharing quotes and sayings about famous people such as George Washington or Mark Twain in August 2017. The main idea was (and still is) to inspire people to achieve great things through inspirational words. It was also stated that it was created by considering the world from many different perspectives.[2]

New Idea

With the change of the previous method of the "Quotin" team manually uploading quotes, the new approach allows users (also known as Inspirators) to upload their own inspirational content.[3] "Quotin" also aimed to move away from traditional social media features like "following" or "friending" and maintain a friendly community.[2]

Popularity

The "Quotin" Android app is featured in the Android subreddit Wiki App Page under Entertainment.[4]

Features

User Created Content

"Quotin" allows users to upload their own image quotes.[5]

Accounts

Along with User Created Content, "Quotin" enables users to create accounts with a profile picture, banner, and uploaded quotes.[6]

Mobile Apps

In September 2018, the "Quotin" app was released for Android[7] and iOS.[8]
