ʻEua National Park covers an area of 4.55 km²[1] located on the east coast of ʻEua Island in Tonga. It reveived National Park Status in 1992[2]. The area is protected by IUCN.

Sights[edit]

A signboard with familiarization information in English is installed near each natural object in the reserve. Lokupo observation deck is located above a cliff overgrown with dense forest, which offers a grandiose view of the desert strip of Lokupo Beach. “Lokupo is the old name for the forest and the coast below,”– the information stand reports. Nearby Rats Cave – a small karst cave 10 meters long. Other attractions – Big Ovava Tree (minimum of 800 years old), Hafu pool & Ana'Ahu (Smoking Cave) – vertical natural hole with a waterfall tearing into it. The park is rarely visited by tourists, some paths are overgrown with tall grass.
