1982-1991; Early Life[edit]

Amuro Kumiko Was Born On March 17, 1982 In Houston, Texas. Her Parents Said She Was Raised In A Wealthy Home, and was a very well behaved kid.

Kumiko Moved To Kyōto, Japan when she was 6 Years old and trained for 4 years before she debuted

She Was Supposed To Debut in 1991 But The Debut Was Pushed Back For A Year

A Year Before Her Scheduled Debut, She Released A Documentary “First Soloist Of Starfish Ent.” Kumiko was The First Artist To Be Signed To Starfish Entertainment

1992-1993; Debut In Girl Group[edit]

On July 17, 1992 Amuro Kumiko Officially Debuted With Girl Group “SoulGirl” The Song “Stop The Music”. The Song Did Very Poorly On The Charts.

The Song Started Off Doing Poorly on the Charts, The Following year The Song Sold Over 1,000,000 Sales

In 1992, SoulGirl Released her second single 「太陽の季節」The Song Sold 600,000 Units

1996-1997; Departure From Group[edit]

1996; Kumiko Announced she left “SoulGirl”, and her solo debut will be released soon

1995, Kumiko’s Sister Sera Hamasaki Debuted In The Same Label as Kumi. Once That Happened Starfish Entertainment pitted them against eachother. Leading Starfish To Create A Feud Between The Sisters

The Feud Made Kumiko look Like A Bitter Sister. While Sera Was Getting All The Fame And Sympathy, Until September 1998 It Was Revealed, Sera Was Bribing News Outlets to say bad things about Kumiko

This Leading Sera Getting Kicked Out Of Starfish Entertainment.

After The Incident, Kumiko Released A Song Titled “Illusion” Which Sold 1,000,000 Sales The First Week.

Since Hyusong’s Debut, Kumiko & Hyusong Made a Song Together In 2002 Titled “Bonnie & Clyde”. They Have Been The Talk Of Dating Rumors Since 1996 (Hyusong’s Official Debut)

Both Record Labels Denied It.

In 1999, Back When Kumiko Left Starfish For rhythm nation, Kumiko & Hyusong Came Out Saying That they have been dating since 1992.

They Got Married In 1999 After 7 Years Of Dating.

2000-2001; Solo Debut, Bootylicous, Seduction Song[edit]

To Begin The Year Kumi Made a Sexy Debut With Song “Twirk”. Which Was A Massive Success.

At The End Of 2000, Kumi Broke Records With Breakthrough Single “Bootylicous”. The Song Sold Over 45,000,000 Copies Since The Release.

2001; Kumiko Has Been Known for releasing Seductive songs. On May 4, 2001, she released the song “Seduction Song”. The Song Went #1 the first day of the release

In 2002; Kumiko Released Her 10 Single “Sexuality”. The Single Caused controversy because the music video was racy it could not be played on MTV.

Although Of the controversy the song sold over 900,000 Copies the first week. Which took her to stardom
