.ing is a generic top-level domain name operated by Google.[2] It was proposed in ICANN's new generic top-level domain (gTLD) program in 2014, and became available to the general public on December 5, 2023, with an early access period that began on October 31.[3]
Security[edit]
The .ing top-level domain is incorporated on the HSTS preload list, requiring HTTPS on all .ing domains without individual HSTS enlistment.[3]
History[edit]
.ing was initially proposed in 2012 by Google explicitly for domain hacking.[4]
