Search 1280°c on Amazon.1280°c (One thousand two hundred and eighty degrees Celsius) is an Israeli magazine on art and handicraft which is published twice a year by the Ceramic Artists Association of Israel. The name of the magazine refers to one of the hottest temperatures for burning tools in a ceramic oven. The magazine concentrates on pottery, ceramic art and ceramic culture and contains documentation of the happenings in Israel on the topic of ceramics. The magazine was established in 2001. The first editor of the magazine 1280°c was Sarah Huckert, who edited it until issue number 9 (spring 2004). The team that established the magazine and accompanied it until 2005 included the ceramic artist Ravit Letzer, the curator Tirza Yalon Colton, the artist Talia Tokatli and Shlomit Bauman who served as the manager of the Ceramic Artists Association of Israel at the same time. Between 2005 and 2007 the magazine was directed by guest editors such as: the goldsmith Einat Lider (issue 10 - Contemporary design themed), the ceramic artist Esther Beck (issue 14 - Ceramic collections themed) and the potter Etty Goren (issue 12 - Technology of ceramics themed). Between 2007 and 2008 the magazine was edited by the Curator Monica Lavie (issues 15-18). Since 2009 the magazine is edited by the artist Talia Tokatli.
