1317 Logan Avenue is the address of the house in Arcadia; the main house was originally built with 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom in 1939. They added a 2-bedroom and a bathroom addition to the main house, and they built the granny flats in the backyard in 1950.
History
On February 4, 2011, 55-year-old Nathan Dell Lindsey died alone in his dark bedroom in the middle of the night at his home. Later that morning, Dolly Fern Foster[1] came home from her night shift at 6:00 a.m., and she was walking down the hallway leading to a bedroom and right into the master bedroom, where she found her son hanged himself with a belt from a ceiling fan.
On June 16, 2017, Corpus Christi police were working to determine what caused a fight that left multiple people injured. Officers responded to a shots-fired call just after 1:06 a.m. near Del Mar College's east campus.[2] When they arrived, they found that 15-year-old Demi "DG" Garza had been shot in the foot, and a 20-year-old man had been slashed in the thigh with a knife during a fight. Both victims were transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Shoreline with what are considered to be non-life-threatening injuries.
The people responsible are believed to have taken off in two separate cars, and both cars were pulled over by police within five minutes. A 16-year-old boy was arrested and taken into police custody; he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly shot Garza's foot when she came out of the house and went to the street. Investigators do not believe that a party was going on at the time of the fight but suspect that it was some sort of meeting gone wrong between at least 14 people.
A single cartridge case was found at the scene and will be examined later today. At this time, it does not appear that any other people or property were harmed.
On February 22, 2018, Agapito "Pirucha" Garza[3] was lying on the couch in the living room before he told his daughter Demi "DG" Garza to call an ambulance because he was not feeling well, and he was transported to CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Shoreline, where he died from cardiac arrest due to infection at around 10:00 p.m.
