The 1927 Houston Junior College Cougars football team represented the Houston Junior College (later known as the University of Houston) in the 1927 college football season. The program was in its first year of existence. The Cougars were coached by John R. Bender, who was also the basketball coach, and finished the season with a 1–4–3 record, with its sole victory over the St. Thomas College Tom's.[1]
