Sponsorships
In 2014, 1960Bet was actively involved in the headline sponsorship of Copa Lagos 2014.[2] 1960Bet pioneered the resurgence of boxing in Nigerian broadcast live on satellite TV (GOtv Boxing Night).[3] Headline sponsorship of Stationery Stores Football Club.[4]
1960Bet supported 11 Nigerian sports fans to Brazil in 2014 to experience the 2014 World Cup live.[5] 1960Bet was also involved in the promotion of grassroots football through the provision of sports kits to local football teams in various local governments across the federation. In 2021, 1960Bet signed a sponsorship deal with Lagos-based football club, Y.G. FC [6]
Brand Ambassador
In September 2020, 1960Bet appointed actor and popular video content producer, Debo Adedayo (also known as Mr. Macaroni) as their brand ambassador.[7]
Mr. Macaroni plays the comedic role of a randy man in online videos that regularly attract large viewership figures, and is currently the face of the company, whose aim is to retake its leadership position in the gaming industry.[8]
Rebranding
1960Bet rebranded in September 2020 with new management, while also integrating cutting-edge technologies into the Nigerian Sports betting industry.[9]
