1973 Runnymede District Council election
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Elections to the newly created Runnymede District Council were held on 7 June 1973 alongside other 1973 United Kingdom local elections. The Conservative party won control of the council by winning a majority of 23 out of the 40 seats.
After the election, the composition of the council was
- Conservative - 23 seats
- Labour - 15 seats
- Thorpe Residents Association - 2 seats
