2012 Olympics curse
The 2012 Olympics curse (French: La malédiction olympique) is a supposed curse causing an unusual rate of deaths in participants following the 2012 London Olympics. This idea became popular in France when two of their athletes, Alexis Vastine and Camille Muffat, died in a helicopter crash during the reality show Dropped. Eighteen athletes from around the world have now died but analysis has indicated that this number of deaths amongst the 10,568 participants is not statistically significant.[1]
