The 2013 K-Love Fan Awards presentation ceremony was held on Saturday, June 1, 2013, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony The ceremony celebrates the excellence and impact of musicians and other figures within the Christian music industry and faith-based entertainment for the year 2013.

Background[edit]

On February 13, 2013, K-Love held a press conference at the Ryman Auditorium Nashville, Tennessee, where they announced the inaugural K-Love Fan Awards, being the first fan-voted awards show for Christian music history.[1] The voting process was set to begin in May, with the awards show where the winners would announced set to be held on June 1, 2013,[2] at the Ryman Auditorium and with hosting being done by Phil, Kay, Jasie, and Missy Robertson of Duck Dynasty fame.[3]

Nominations announcement[edit]

On May 1, 2013, K-Love announced the nominees and performers for the awards ceremony, indicating that the nominees had been selected on the basis of airplay, spins, impact and overall performance.[4] The voting process began that same day, with fans being able to vote for their favorite nominees on the K-Love Fan Awards website until on May 31, 2013.[5]
