On 1 April 2015, two Ryanair 737-800s collided whilst taxiing at Dublin Airport. The two planes sustained substantial damage after the incident as they crashed. The winglets of the plane were destroyed and had to be repaired.[1]
The first plane was Ryanair Fight 7312 from Dublin to Zadar in Croatia. The second plane was Ryanair Flight 812 from Dublin to Edinburgh-Turnhouse Airport.
When Flight 7312 was taxiing, Flight 812's winglet hit the starboard elevator of Flight 7312. Flight 812's winglets were destroyed while Flight 7312's winglets were severed and hanging on by a thread.[2]
There were delays for about 30 minutes at the airport. The passengers or crew sustained no injuries in the accident. They were immediately evacuated and a bus brought them to another Ryanair plane.
