Three men attacked an off-duty soldier near a military base in Marseille. The soldier was knocked to the ground after several blows were inflicted, and he fell unconscious. He was taken to hospital with moderate injuries.[1]
Attack
A serviceman who was not on duty was assaulted on February 3 at 6 pm, while he was on a street in the XV district in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône). This first private class, dressed in civilian clothes, was boarded by four strangers who came driving a Renault Twingo. After uttering insults against him, especially in relation to his condition as a military man, the four assailants threw themselves upon him before inflicting several blows.[2]
