The 2018 Garland mayoral special election was held on May 6, 2018 to elect the mayor of Garland, Texas. It saw the election of Lori Barnett Dodson.
The election was held after the resignation of Douglas Athas, which had formally occurred in January 2018, but had been announced in October 2017.[2]
