There was at least one, possibly two, explosions that struck the airport in Aden as the government of Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi was returning to Aden after agreeing to a power-sharing agreement earlier in the week with southern separatists. Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalik Saeed was quickly escorted to the security of the palace in Aden following the attack. At least 16 people were killed in the explosion and another 60 were injured, including three Red Crescent medics. It is unknown who is behind the blast(s), but the Houthis in Sana'a are suspected.
