On 13 March 2021, a Kazakh Border Guards Antonov An-26 crashed on the evening of March 13 upon landing at Almaty Airport. The crash claimed the lives of four of the six people on board.[3] At the time of the accident, weather was poor, with overcast clouds, light freezing drizzle and mist.
