The 2021 Southeastern Conference football season will be the 89th season of SEC football taking place during the 2021 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The season will begin on Saturday September 4, 2021 and will end on Saturday December 4, 2021 with the 2021 SEC Championship Game. The SEC is a power five conference under the College Football Playoff.[1].
Previous season[edit]
The 2020 SEC Football began on September 26, 2020 and ended on December 19, 2020 due to the season being delayed by the COVID-19 Pandemic. In the 2020 SEC Championship Game the Alabama Crimson Tide defeated the Florida Gators 52–46 At Merecedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. Also In The Postseason The Alabama Crimson Tide won the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship by defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes 52–24 At Hard Rock Stadium In Miami, Florida.

SEC Media Days[edit]
The 2021 SEC Media days will be held in July 2021 at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta, Georgia. The Preseason Polls will be released in July 2020.
Head Coaches[edit]
Four Coaches Were Fired after the 2020 season
Auburn Head Coach Gus Malzahn was fired on December 13, 2020 after eight seasons at the school on December 22, 2020. Boise State Coach Bryan Harsin was named The new Head Coach of the football team.
South Carolina Head Coach Will Muschamp was fired on November 15, 2020 after five seasons at the school on December 6, 2020 Shane Beamer the son of former Virgina Tech Coach Frank Beamer was named the new head coach the football team.
Tennessee Head Coach Jeremy Pruitt was fired on January 18, 2021 after three seasons at the school. On January 27, 2021 Former UCF Head Coach Josh Heupel was named the new head coach of the team.
Vanderbilt Coach Derek Mason was fired on November 29, 2020 after seven seasons at the school. On December 14, 2020 Clark Lea was named the head coach of the team.
