The lists show ranking of male gymnasts who achieved the highest scores in 2021. Results are taken from the international competitions such as Olympic Games, World Championships, World Cup Series, continental championships. Domestic events like national championships and domestic cup (organized by National Gymnastics Associations) can also be counted.[1][2]
Notes about domestic tournaments[edit]
In some countries, such Japan & China, there are many male gymnasts with great results but haven't participated in international competitions because of the limit per country. Therefore, it is needed to include the scores from domestic tournaments, namely national championships and domestic cups, to make comparison about a gymnast's ability. However, only some tournaments, like those in Japan, China and Russia meet the scoring standards like in international events, while others might have given their gymnasts higher scores than they would have achieved at world-level competitions.

Special mentions[edit]
Below is the list of male gymnasts who received good results at domestic competitions, but there's lack of evidence that judging methods do meet international standards. These results are pretty much higher than in international tournaments, so they might be overscored.
