The heat wave was caused by a jet-stream of Saharan dust which brought daily high temperatures nearly similar to max high during spring.[2] In Berlin[3] and Paris, high temperatures of 20 °C (68 °F) were reported. Beijing also experienced the highest overall winter temperature of 25.6 °C (78.1 °F).[4][5] There were no reported deaths in the heat wave.
