The 2022 Vietnam floods affected a lot in the North parts of Vietnam and Central parts of Vietnam which have a very common floods, in South parts of Vietnam, it is Rare to have a Flood. It was caused by Heavy rain or a Typhoon. September to November is Vietnam Rain season and Typhoon season.
Tây Bắc (Northwest)[edit]
In Hà Giang province from May 21 to 27, they reported that 6 people died and 6 other people were injuries. 26,767ha of Rice were flooded and destroyed. Several provinces are also affected including, Cao Bằng, Hòa Bình, Hà Giang, Hà Nội and other northern provinces. A floods damaged 512 houses. The floods only lasted 3 days only in the northern parts. On May 24, several provinces will have Thunderstorm..[1]
In July 30, 2022, Yên Bái province were reported Flood which Damage 118 Houses. No one died in the floods. Trấn Yên, Văn Chấn and Văn Yên are the only District got affected. In Van Yen District, the district reported there was a Tornado which damaged 3 house.[2]
In August 10, 2022, Lai Châu, Sơn La, Hòa Bình, Tuyên Quang, Lào Cai, Yên Bái and Phú Thọ we’re affected by Tropical Storm Mulan by Tropical Depression, 3 people were killed while 4 were missing in Flood, some reported that there is Landslide in theirs Town. In the Hoa Binh Province, it recorded 328 mm of rain in the Province.[3]
In August 13, 2022 at 9:37 in Lào Cai province, a Rain and Flood killed 6 people in total and several of the people were missing, it was caused by Tropical Storm Mulan. Lac Thuy district were affected and Hòa Bình province is also affected not only Lào Cai province. Kim Boi district were affected in Hoa Binh. 3 people were killed in Lac Thuy District while 2 other were killed in Kim Boi District in Hoa Binh.[4]
Đông Bắc (Northeast)[edit]
From May 10, 2022, Lạng Sơn province was Flood. One person was killed in a floods and heavy rain. On May 4, the Crop were flooded in the area of 2,500 Hectare. 8 houses were Damage and Collapsed in a Flood. The floods causing a lots of damages which make billions of Vietnamese đồng.[5]
In May 28, 2022, Cao Bằng province has raining very hard. In Bao Lac district, a floods and Landslide damaging 19 house and a rock happened on May 28. The Province reported there is only one died. One person got lightning strike in May 30. Hoang Lam Binh who is born in 1995 at Nam Quang commune. He was Sleep and suddenly a Lightning hits its House and died. Thi Da who is his Wife also struck by lightning but survived. 34 houses was damaged by Landslide.[6]
In September 7, a Flash flood and Landslide broke out in Phú Thọ province. 32 Household are flooded. 5 households was affected by Landslide. Dong Cuu commune and Yen Luong commune was affected.[7]
In September 15, Hà Giang province was Flood and Landslide which was caused by Heavy rain. The Provinces reported that no one died but 2 was Injuries. 45 houses was affected and Quang Binh, Yen Minh, Dong Van and Bac Quang was the District which got affected by Flood or Landslide. It affected 225 person and 45 family.[8]
Đồng Bằng Sông Hồng (Red River Delta)[edit]
In August 12, Hanoi was battered by a heavy downpour. It was hits on 5:20 am in the Morning. Thang Long Avenue, Le Trong Tan Street, and Thuy Khe Street were being Affected by a Flood on a River. My Dinh Bus Station and Thuy Khe Street was flood. The measures of rainfall was around 20-60 millimeters, according to National Center for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting.[9]
In August 25, Haiphong was affected by a Flood, a Strong winds and Torrential Rain was battered and hits Haiphong At Night in around 8:00 p.m., the same situation with Quảng Ninh province, Vĩnh Phúc province and two others provinces. many streets were submerged and at the same times, many tree fell. It was measured between 115 and 240 millimeters.[10]
In September 8, at Hanoi, a rescuer said that a heavy rain occurred. 312 Household were flooded in total. Chuong My district having a heavy rain for 2 days in a past. More than 1,500 people were flooded. No one was killed.[11]
In September 10, Ninh Bình province was hit by a Severe Flood. One person were dead while two others were missing in the floods. The rainfall has recorded in Ninh Binh was 405 millimeters, over a thousand of family were affected by Flood. Several provinces was also affected including Thanh Hóa province and others.[12]
Bắc Trung Bộ (North Central Coast)[edit]
In September 28 at Wednesday, a Flood occur in Hà Tĩnh province. Rao Tre Village was flooded and it was caused by the Heavy rain. The people were affected in a total of 146 which was affected by a floods and 46 household was also affected by the floods. No one died and injuries[13]
In Nghệ An and Hà Tĩnh from October 2 to October 4, a Flood caused 8 people lost their lives in Nghệ An. 127 schools was affected by a floods. The provinces needed a Donation due to a floods. It damaged nearly 135ha sizes of Tree and 11,435 sizes of rice and other crops that were plant.[14] Thanh Hóa, Nghệ An and Hà Tĩnh were sawing 70% of its were damaged by a Flood. Over 2,000 families had to move some where. 11,435 hectares sizes of rice was damaged and 3,800 hectares sizes of industrial and fruit trees was damaged and affected.[15]
Nam Trung Bộ (South Central Coast)[edit]

In September 27, Typhoon Noru make a landfall in Vietnam after hit The Philippines. Da Nang and Quảng Nam was struck at around 4 a.m, The Typhoon have knocking out power and make Power outage. It damaged $21.9 million and eight people was killed.[16]
Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands)[edit]
In October 03, at Kon Tum province, The Street of Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Hue, and Phan Dinh Phung was Flood. Because these 3 street are low-lying area so they can be easily flood. Local authorities are trying to work to solving the problem in Kon Tum. It can submerge the streets.[17]
