The 2022 World Boccia Championships was held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 5 to 14 December 2022. 169 athletes from 40 countries was compete for the World Champion title in the BC1, BC2, BC3, BC4, BC3 Pairs, BC4 Pairs and BC1/2 Teams competitions. For the first time a Boccia World Championship was have separate male and female competitions in the individual categories.[1][2][3]
