The 2023 American Premier League (APL) is the inaugural franchise season of the American Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league based in the United States.[1][2][3]The tournament is being played from December 19th to December 31st, 2023. [4][5][6][7]

In May 2023, The league was sanctioned by the ICC and the USA Cricket.[8][9]

Venue[edit]

A total of 24 matches will be played at the Moosa Cricket Stadium in Houston, Texas.

Teams[edit]

Afghans and Canadians are the new sides joining the other five sides from the previous season. Importantly, the second edition of the league has been sanctioned by the ICC.[citation needed]

Squads[edit]

Each team will have a minimum of one and maximum of two national players to represent their country while every 15-member team squad will have 9 local (American) players mandatory as per the ICC guidelines. A maximum of 6 international players will be allowed in the playing XI.[25][26][27]

In December 2023, American Premier League (APL) announced that It will be broadcast live in major cricketing nations The tournament will be broadcast live on Television & OTT platforms in India, Australia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Caribbean & MENA countries. Marron media holds the exclusive rights of American premier league.[29][30]
