2023 Colorado Springs Elections

The 2023 Colorado Springs Elections will be held in 2 segments in 2023. The Tuesday, April 4, 2023 election includes Mayor of Colorado Springs, 3 Colorado Springs City Council at-large positions, 1 Colorado Springs City Council District 3 position, and 1 Colorado Springs Ballot Issue.[1] The election on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, will include six school districts races across El Paso County, CO.[2]
Mayor[edit]
Republican incumbent mayor John Suthers is term-limited and cannot run for re-election.

At-Large City Council[edit]
Unaffiliated incumbents city council members Tom Strand and Bill Murray are term-limited and cannot run for another term on the city council. Unaffiliated incumbent city council member Wayne Williams is able to run for re-election, however, he announced he is retiring to run for Mayor of Colorado Springs.

District 3 City Council[edit]
Republican incumbent city council member Stephanie Fortune was appointed in 2022 to fill the vacancy of former Councilmember Richard Skorman. Fortune is able to run to fill the rest of the term but has opted not to run. This election is to fill the last two years of the vacancy. Another election will take place in April 2025.
