The 2023 GAA World Games, known for sponsorship reasons as the FRS Recruitment GAA World Games 2023, was the 4th edition of the GAA World Games, a triennial competition in Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football. The tournament will be hosted in Derry at the Owenbeg GAA Center of Excellence. In this competition countries and regions from around the world excluding Ireland compete against each other. Due to the strong predominance of Ireland in the Gaelic games, the tournament will be held in two categories:
- Open: In this category there are no limitations on the nationality of the players. They must be registered at an international GAA, LGFA or Camogie unit, but may be of Irish origin.
- International: In this category, the rules prohibit the participation of Irish players or players who have played in Ireland during their youth.
The competition takes place between the 24th and the 28th of July 2023.
Format
Depending on the number of competing teams in the categories, there are multiple divisions at the 2023 GAA World Games.
International
The men's Gaelic football international competition is split up into two divisions with two groups each. After a round robin group section the winners are determined in a playoff.
