The 2023 K League 2 is the eleventh season of the K League 2, the second-tier South Korean professional league for association football clubs since its establishment in 2013, and the sixth one with its current name, the K League 2. The top-ranked team and the winners of the promotion/relegation playoff series will get promoted to the 2024 K League 1.
Promotion and Relegation
New teams
Chungbuk Cheongju FC and Cheonan City FC, who played in the K3 League, will make their professional debuts in K League 2 in the 2023 season, bringing the K League member total to 25 teams.
Relegated from 2022 K League 1
Gimcheon Sangmu was relegated back to the K League 2, after just a season in top tier, after losing to Daejeon Hana Citizen in the 2022 K League 1 Relegation Playoffs. Seongnam FC were relegated after finishing in last place in the 2022 K League 1.
