It is the 22nd season for the franchise in Connecticut after relocating from Orlando. After both the Phoenix Mercury and Seattle Storm missed the playoffs for the first time since 2012 and 2015 respectively, the Sun will enter the season with the longest active playoffs streak for the WNBA, making the playoffs every year since 2017.
