2025 Canadian Rally Championship

The 2025 Canadian Rally Championship is a season of rally racing sanctioned by the Canadian Association of Rallysport (CARS). 2025 Novice Championship Standings

The Novice Cup in the Canadian Rally Championship is awarded to eligible new drivers who have competed in fewer than six performance rallies before the start of the season. Points are awarded based on a different system as the main drivers' championship, 9 points = 1st, 6 points = 2nd, 4 points = 3rd, 3 point = 4th, 2 points = 5th and 1 points = 6th. Only novice drivers are ranked in this category, and the top-placed novice at each event earns points from their overall position in the rally.

Round 1 – Rallye Perce-Neige 2025

The Rallye Perce-Neige of Maniwaki was the opening round of the 2025 Canadian Rally Championship, held in Maniwaki, Quebec, from January 31 to February 1. The event took place on snow and ice-covered gravel roads in cold winter conditions. Jean-Sébastien Besner and co-driver Yvan Joyal won the event in their Ford Fiesta R5, finishing over two and a half minutes ahead of the second-place team. Ricardo Cordero and Marco Hernandez placed second in a Citroën C3 Rally2. Simon Vincent and Hubert Gaudreau rounded out the podium in a Subaru Impreza.

Notable results from the event included Mikael Arsenault and Layla Zigby, who drove a two-wheel-drive Peugeot 208 Rally4 to a top-10 overall finish.

Round 2 – Pacific Forest Rally 2025

The Pacific Forest Rally, the second round of the season, was held on the fast gravel roads near Merritt, British Columbia. The event, which took place in spring conditions, provided more traction than the season opener. Mexican duo Ricardo Cordero and Marco Hernández won the rally in their Citroën C3 Rally2, marking their first victory of the season in the Canadian Rally Championship. Simon Vincent finished second, and Jason Bailey secured third place in his Ford Fiesta Rally3.

In the two-wheel-drive categories, a close competition saw Kornelius Rempel place first, followed by Aran Cook and Mikaël Arsenault.

Round 3 – Rallye Baie-des-Chaleurs 2025

The third round of the 2025 Canadian Rally Championship, the Rallye Baie-des-Chaleurs, was held on gravel roads.
