The fourth United Nations Ocean Conference is set to be held in South Korea. [1][2] It will be jointly organized by that country and Chile.
Background
Since 2017, the United Nations have held a triennial Ocean Conference. The purpose of these conferences is to encourage sustainable development and mindful use of marine resources, as well as the protection of marine life, in accordance with Sustainable Development Goal 14.
The fourth of these conferences, the 2028 conference will be held in South Korea, and jointly organized and hosted by South Korea and Chile.
