3-D Ultra Pinball: Creep Night is a video game released in 1996 for Windows and Macintosh, and is the second game in the 3-D Ultra Pinball video game series. The game received the Kids to Adults rating from the Entertainment Software Rating Board.

Gameplay

The second game, Creep Night (1996) had a horror film setting, and featured three different tables (and after completing all challenges in a table, the player could travel to the others):

  • Castle , fragmented in town, castle area, and graveyard. Its challenges included Zombies, Goblins, Runaway (a goblin riding an ATV runs through the table), Vortex (a multi-ball game in which the player must shoot into the vortex), and Wraith (a female magnetic ghost tries to capture the ball).
  • Tower , a mad scientist lab. The challenges were Rat, Energy Gate (similar to Vortex, but single-balled), Beast, Goblin, and Dynamo. After completing all five challenges, the Frankenstein monster revives and must be hit five times.
  • Dungeon . The challenges were Gobbler (a ghost chases the ball to eat it), Spiders, Dimension Door (if hit, activates a Simon-like game), Trapdoor (similar to Vortex), and Skeleton Escape (six skeletons come out of the cells for you to hit). Like in Tower, after beating them, a Catapult appears, and the player must hit it several times.

Each table in the game contains two mini-games which are reached on either side of the main table.[1]

After completing all three tables, a changed Castle table appears, with five new challenges, including a final boss fight against the Goblin King.

This was also released with several demos of other software titles also by Sierra Online.

Reception

MobyGames users scored the game a 3.9, citing above-average gameplay, graphics, fun, and sound.[2]
