3 Verulam Buildings is a set of commercial barristers' chambers located in Gray's Inn, London. It has 101 full members (in addition to door tenants), of whom more than 30 are King's Counsel.[1][2] It is one of a group of leading sets in London, including Blackstone Chambers, Brick Court Chambers, Essex Court Chambers, and Fountain Court Chambers.

The set's origins can be traced back to the late 19th Century and to Sir Horace Avory and Sir Patrick Hastings KC.[3] Prominent former members of Chambers include lead UK prosecutor at the Nuremberg War Crimes Tribunal, Lord Shawcross, and English Court of Appeal Judges, Lord Justice Winn and Lord Justice Leggatt.

Today, 3 Verulam Buildings Chambers occupies the entirety of Verulam Buildings (numbers 1 to 5), a prominent building in Gray's Innwhich was constructed in the early 19th century.[4] The barristers at this set are recognised specialist advocates in all areas of commercial and financial litgation, international arbitration, and public international law.[5]

Current notable members include: Sir Anthony Smellie (member of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council),[6] Sir Peter Cresswell(High Court Judge),[7] Sir William Blair (High Court Judge and Professor of Financial Law and Ethics at Queen Mary University of London),[8] Ali Malek KC (former Treasuer, Gray's Inn),[9] Richard Salter KC (Treasurer, Inner Temple),[10] Professor Zachery Douglas K.C.,[11] Gopal Subramanium, and Professor Can Yeğinsu.[12]
