David Boldini (born January 7, 1985), better known by his stage name 7 SKIES is an Italian musician, sound designer, record producer and DJ from Brescia.

His extensive discography includes tracks released on some of the biggest labels, ranging from Spinnin Records to Steve Aoki's Dim Mak and Above & Beyond's Anjunabeats.

His famous sound design skills have helped shape the sound of countless number one hits in the EDM, Dance, and Pop industry.

Early life

David Boldini was born in Breno, Italy, and developed a passion for electronic music and synthesizers during his early teenage years.

The name 7 SKIES comes from his passion for astronomy combined with his date of birth. His first breakout single, Caffeine, was released in 2009 on Above & Beyond's label Anjunabeats.

As a sound designer, David created factory and commercial sounds and presets for several vst plug-ins such as Serum by XFer, Sylenth 1 by Lennardigital and Nexus by ReFx, as well as co-productions with KSHMR on the legendary Sounds Of KSHMR sound packs.

David Boldini currently uses Ableton Live 10 after producing for several years on Logic Pro.

Career

2018

7 SKIES released "Neverland"[1] with KSHMR on August 3, 2018, which combined the genres of bounce and big room house.[4] Besides Sounds Of KSHMR, the duo had previously worked together on a sample pack titled Symphony-Serum Hybrid Orchestra on music creation platform Splice.

2019

7 SKIES' first release of the year was a collaboration with Dutch DJ Tiësto and singer Micky Blue titled "Trouble"[5] as part of the Together EP and released through Musical Freedom. On October 25, 7 SKIES and Dutch duo Magnificence released "The Drill"[6], a heavy bass house track characterised by a distinctive sound that David created using a hardware synthesiser by Access Music called Virus TI.
