Vion Konger (born as Vitaly Konkin in Moscow, Russia) is a Russian record producer, musician, DJ and remixer. Getting into electronic dance music at the age of 13, he has received worldwide support from acclaimed DJs such as Tiësto, Martin Garrix, David Guetta, Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Career[edit]
Vion’s first step into dance music was winning in a remix contest[1], hosted by an international DJ Laidback Luke and his own record company Mixmash Records. He gave his song ‘Break Down The House’ an epic makeover, which contains influences of classic house music. Following that, Vion released «Outbreak»[2] with an American DJ M35 on Dannic’s record label Fonk Recordings. It scored massive support from biggest DJ’s across the world, has been played by Knife Party & Pendulum and Blasterjaxx at Ultra Music Festival Miami.
On 10 March 2017, he released «Like That» on Nicky Romero’s Protocol Recordings as a part of the Miami Sampler 2017[3]. The track has reached #34 in the Beatport Bigroom chart.
In June 2017 Vion released his debut single «Dat Beat»[4] on Musical Freedom. Later on, Tiësto invited Vion Konger to his Club Life Radio Show as a special guest[5]. This one was a highlight in his career.
With numerous releases, both planned and already released, 2018 had all the prerequisites for being an equally prolific and rewarding year. In June 2018 he released his song «Chasing The Moonlight»[6] on the legendary Sony Music Entertainment, reaching #65 on The Netherlands’s iTunes Top 100 as well as being broadcast on MTV in multiple countries[7][8][9]. In August 2018 he collaborated with a fellow Russian DJ ARTY on a remix of his song «Couldn’t Be Better»[10], obtaining the support of biggest Spotify playlists and Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, Nicky Romero, just to name a few. The remix was released on dutch label Armada Music.
