99minutos is a Mexican logistics company operating in different regions of Latin America, including Chile, Colombia, and Peru.[1][2][3][4][5] It was founded by Alexis Patjane in 2014. The company is headquartered in Mexico City.[6] 99minutos is also known for introducing electric vehicles for deliveries in Latin America.[7][8][9]

Overview

The company was founded by Alexis Patjane along with his associates in 2014. According to the founding story, Alexis Patjane was at a hookah bar in Mexico City with his friends and the bar ran out of tobacco. Patjane tried to order it online, but there was no such service available then. Thus, after two weeks, Patjane instituted 99minutos along with the collaboration from his associates.

99minutos first started its operations in Mexico, and then commenced its services in Chile, Colombia, and Peru.[10][11][12][13]

In 2018, it introduced electric vehicles for deliveries in Latin America.[14] The initiative was taken to support a clean environment. As of 2022, 99minutos conducts 20% of its operations using electric vehicles.
