A-1 Auto Transport, Inc. is an American auto shipper known for offering car shipping services.[1]

A-1 Auto Transport was founded in 1988 by Tony Taylor as a towing company in Watsonville, California.[2] In 1992, the company purchased its first auto transport carrier and in 1995 it increased its fleet to 50 auto transport carriers.[2]
In 2000, the company expanded its services to reach Asia, Europe, and other locations.[1] In 2011, the company became the official shipper for Cars.com.[3]
In 2023, A-1 Auto Transport joined the Wisconsin Motor Carriers Association (WMCA), a nonprofit organization that represents Wisconsin’s transport industry.[4] The auto shipper company also joined North Dakota Motor Carriers Association the same year.[5]

A-1 Auto Transport offers yearly scholarship opportunities to students in most accredited or non-accredited institutes, including truck driving school across the United States. [9] This is part of the company's mission in fostering education in all the locations across the US where it has its facilities.[10]
