A23 is an upcoming Philippine free-to-air television network owned by Creative Programs Inc., a subsidiary of ABS-CBN Corporation. Similar to Studio 23, the network is named after its flagship station, DWAC-TV Channel 23. The network is a sister network of ABS-CBN. These station studios are located at 3/F ABS-CBN Broadcast Center, Sgt. Esguerra Ave., Mother Ignacia St., Diliman, Quezon City. It is set to be relaunched by May 14, 2022.

History[edit]

When A2Z was not returned to DWWX-TV but it was conducted to Test Broadcast via DZOE, they have no plans for their secondary network yet.

A2Z Channel 11 of ABS-CBN and ZOE Broadcasting Network, launched on October 10, 2020, remained operational, A2Z leave Channel 2 was conducted to Test Broadcast. ABS-CBN made their relay stations of the former S+A (except DWAC-TV Channel 23) as a repeater/relay of DZOE-TV Channel 11 (similar to GMA/Citynet's block time with ZOE TV before) until their plan for UHF Channel 23 has revealed or for the remaining analog days. Since most of A2Z's programming is moved to their original network, A2Z changed their programming with new programs/shows such as the morning simulcast of DZMM programs via TeleRadyo (until 9 AM), Kidz Weekend being moved to weekday and Saturday mornings as "Morning Kidz" and expanded, and filling up A2Z's vacant program slots with imported programming, among others.

On April 4, 2022, ABS-CBN has announced that A2Z will be relocated to UHF Channel 23 (DWAC-TV, replacing the channel space of former ABS-CBN S+A) and will be relaunched as A23 with most of the A2Z's programs (excluding ZOE TV's in-house programs) being carried over by A23, as ABS-CBN has decided to terminate their block time agreement with ZOE, ceasing the operations of A2Z Channel 11 after May 14, 2022. Before that, Channel 23 began test broadcasts (simulcasting A2Z-11 (DZOE-TV)).

On May 14, 2022, Channel 23 relaunched as A23 with its complete station ID as well as its slogan "Ang Saya Pag Kasama Ka!".

On October 12, 2022, A23 celebrates its 25th Anniversary for complete station ID such as the 10th Anniversary station ID on Studio 23 was dropped as well as A23 Barkada.

Programming[edit]

A23's programming mostly airs imported programming (both Filipino-dubbed/Taglish-dubbed and original English language) (cartoons, comedies, live-actions, and anime/manga) (such as Family Guy, The Simpsons, American Dad!, King Of The Hill, NCIS, Dragon Ball Z, My Hero Academia, Mr. Bean, etc.). A23 also airs original Filipino/Tagalog programming as well, such as the sports coverages including Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) and Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), current affairs and newscasts, such as weekday noontime newscast Headline Pilipinas, and newest newscasts like Dateline Ngayon (an afternoon newscast was air on 5:15pm), A2Z Regional programs (such as A2Z Regional Strip as the Top 5 regional newscasts (Balitang A2Z Southern Tagalog, Balitang A2Z North Luzon, Balitang A2Z Central Visayas, Balitang A2Z North Mindanao, and Balitang A2Z Southern Mindanao), and it's newest national newscast A2Z Region News (similar to GMA Regional TV's (rival of A2Z Regional) national newscasts that aired on GTV (A23's rival network)) delivered in English language), the morning simulcast of DZMM 630 (via Teleradyo) (until 5 AM on weekdays and 6 AM on weekends), and other locally-produced programs such as selected old ABS-CBN shows, encore telecast of selected current ABS-CBN shows, selected online shows (such as Lucky'ng Tulong, We Rise Together, and I Feel U), and selected iWantTFC originals, similar to the old format of what Studio 23 and S+A had done before.
