AAFT University of Media and Arts is an upcoming private university[1] to be located in Kharora, Raipur district, Chhattisgarh, India. It was established on 17 April 2018[1] by the Asian Education Group (AEG), through the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) (Amendment) Act, 2018.[2] The first chancellor is Sandeep Marwah,[3] the president of the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT).[4] It claims to be the first film, media and arts university in India.[5]
