ABES College
Alberta Business & Educational Services (ABES) is a vocational medical school in Calgary,[1] Alberta that specializes in the medical field. ABES has been around since 1991. Since then, it has provided adult learners the training and support needed to enter the workforce. ABES is currently licensed as a Private Vocational School under the Private Vocational Training Act. They offer programs in cooperation with Alberta Health Services (Calgary, Edmonton, and Lethbridge), Calgary Lab Services and Alberta Human Services. These partnerships were established to better serve students by ensuring the programs effectively adapt to the ever-changing standards of each industry, but also to meet the needs of the current ongoing demands in each field. While enrolled, students receive hands on classroom training and well as practicums in doctors' offices and hospital settings. They accept financial aid and grants.
