ACCR Formula 4 Championship is a racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4. The category, ladder for F1, will be approved by the FIA (International Automobile Federation) and will follow the international regulation, earning points to obtain the super license points. It was planned to begin in 2022.[1] However, due to the delays of Tatuus F4-T-421 cars, the status of 2022 season was changed as trophy, which consisted of non-championship rounds.[2][3]
The championship will be organised and promoted by the Automobile Club of the Czech Republic (ACCR) and Krenek Motorsport. In November 2022, it was confirmed that the championship will begin in 2023 as a FIA-certified series.[4][5] The championship will consist of six venues in four different countries in 2023, in which two venues are the Formula One circuits.[5][6][7]
Car[edit]
In the 2022 season, older generation Tatuus F4-T014 could participate in the championship due to the delays of newer generation Tatuus F4-T421 cars; however older generation cars will not be allowed to participate in the 2023 season due to the FIA certification process.[2][4]
