It will be a result of a merger between two existing International and European third-tier single-seater formula racing series, the GP3 Series and FIA European Formula 3 Championship as it was announced the merger prospect on 22 September 2017.[1] This merger of GP3 Series and FIA Formula 3 European Championship effectively ended a nine-year split and reunited Formula Three category.
